A comfort that slips easily into the palm of your hand or your pocket. We aimed to make a small wallet that stands out head and shoulders above every other small wallet. The difference in size will completely change the way you feel it fits into your pocket or bag.

To meet that need, we've created the abrAsus Small Wallet.
We aimed to create the smallest possible wallet that would still fit cards.
By shedding excess spaces in the design, we've managed to get it this small
Conventional bifold and trifold wallets are built so that the exterior leather piece is longer than the interior, with excess space (see upper left fig. 1) built in to make the wallet open smoothly. Thus, the wallet becomes larger by the amount of leather in these spaces. To craft our abrAsus Small Wallet as small as possible, we've thought of ways to remove those extra spaces.
Connective part that connects the inner and outer wallet
However, if you merely get rid of this excess space, you can not open and close smoothly, so the inner leather and outer leather of the lower part have not been sewn together (see upper right fig. 2), instead they are connected by another part (see fig. 3 on the right). With this method, we were able to eliminate unnecessary gaps as well as open and close the wallet more smoothly. Regarding this structure, our company has acquired a patent.
It's not just small; it's designed for ease of use
1. The snap opens to a card case
The abrAsus Small Wallet is recommended for those who wish to select only the five cards they need to carry the most when walking around. You'll choose which cards you want to put in your wallet and always have on you and which cards can stay in your bag. We considered designing the card holder to hold ten cards but decided to have it hold five instead. There was a trade-off between the size of the wallet and the number of cards it could hold. When you receive cards from shops and put them in your wallet, it naturally gets bigger and bigger as time goes on. We've implemented a style that encourages you to select only the cards you really need so that your wallet is small and comfortable.
2. A spacious coin pocket
We designed the wallet without a cover solely for the coin pocket and instead made the main body serve as the cover, so you can open it in one motion. By removing the flap to cover the coin pocket, we've reduced the number of excess parts to the wallet to further slim it down.
3. Insert your bills without folding them
In most small wallets and coin purses sold on the general market, the user has to fold their bills and insert them into the pocket. If you have to fold your bills to insert them into your wallet, it can take time at the register when your hands may already be full. We've made the abrAsus Small Wallet not just small, but also easy to use because you don't have to fold your bills to put them in.

The Good Design Award is a comprehensive design-promotion system organized by the Japan Institute for Design Promotion. It's precursor, the Good Design Selection System (or G Mark System), was founded in 1957 by the Ministry of International Trade and Industry (the current Ministry of Economy, Trade and Industry), and has been engaged in this work for about 60 years. The Good Design Award aims to enrich our quality of life, industries, and society as a whole by highlighting and celebrating these works. Recipients of a Good Design Award are granted use of the G Mark symbol, which has been recognized widely as a mark representing good design.

Our abrAsus items are built without the use of premade leather and instead use a light, tough leather custom ordered and selected especially for abrAsus and processed and completed in Japan. Additionally, the stitching is done in a durable thread of the highest quality, which won't break or fray easily. Only natural cowhide is used for abrAsus products. Please enjoy the tangibility of the leather, crafted by artisans of Japan.
Skilled craftsmen put their best efforts into each one
abrAsus products are made thoroughly and one at a time, with Japanese craft workers handling every process, including the treatment, skiving, sewing, and lacquering of the edges of the leather, from start to finish. Some of the workers involved in our craftsmanship are over 65 years of age. It's no overstatement to say that it is thanks to these richly-experienced craftsmen with meticulous attention to detail that this portable, functional, and well-designed abrAsus product has become a commodity. abrAsus products are an item of incredible quality born of an innovative, unprecedented idea through our leather craftsmen's bounty of experience and passion.
